Vegan Flapjacks

A quick and easy bake for when you're craving something that is both filling and a little bit sweet.

Makes 16

Ingredients:

  • 200g vegan butter
  • 80g light brown sugar
  • 80g golden syrup
  • 50ml walnut oil*
  • 500g rolled oats

*if you don’t have or want to use walnut oil, simply replace with 50g vegan butter.

Instructions:

  • Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a large pan. Take off the heat.
  • Stir in the walnut oil and oats, then press into a 12x9 inch traybake tin using the back of a spatula or spoon.
  • Bake at 180C/360F fan for 15 minutes or until it starts to brown on top.
  • Once baked, leave to cool completely in the tin before cutting into slices.
Store in an air tight container for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
